Today’s Devotional Is LIFE IS VALUED
Nothing is more dangerous than aimless drifting! Each soul is given a purpose by God. There is likely to be a moment in each life when we get our bearings and see the work of God. As Moses stood on the mount, we can see the design of the tabernacle that we are about to erect. God has a purpose both for the soul and for the body. All the parts were created when there was no one else (Psa_139.16). It is possible that God would spend time thinking and caring for the body and not have a purpose for the soul. If that is the case, He will reveal His will and He will slowly unfold our life-purpose. We can count on the Almighty Friend to provide the necessary grace, wisdom, strength as we move forward.
The crowds are watching the captain of a cricket team as he leaves the pavilion to take the wicket. It is likely that he is saying to himself, “I am going score my hundred!” It is almost as if he is saying to himself, “You may try your best, but we are going to win!” In such a spirit, each one of us should face our lives: “I’m going to win through, God’s grace.”
Remember that God is always working for you. “The Lord will complete that which concerns me.” He will not abandon the work of His own hand! Over the course of my eighty-one year life, I have seen more changes and hardships than many. But, I can confidently say that God is sure to deliver His plan! Trust Him, and follow His lead.
PRAYER for Today
O God, all-good God and all grace, fill my heart with such love for Thee that it may be impossible for me to resist or even to fear in submission to Thee. AMEN.
