Daily Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 47:9 KJV
Ezekiel 47:9 KJV
(9) And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.
Today’s Devotional Is THE LIFE-GIVING STEAM
Revelation 22:1 KJV
(1) And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Eze_47:1 describes the miraculous chapter of Ezekiel in which the power of restored Israel can be compared to a stream that flows from the Divine dwelling-Place. As our Lord promised, the waters that rise in the heart flow out in ever-deepening and wider rivers of blessing to humanity (Joh_4; Joh_7,37-39). The steps of daily living may be represented by the ankles. The knees are for prayers and intercessions. The loins represent our passions and affections. Our influence on God must never cease to grow and expand. Every life must have the unfathomable depth and fellowship with God– “a river that cannot pass” (Eze_47.5)
PRAYER for Today
O God, our Father, the Ocean of Love to which all streams tend but in whom there is no ebb, The need for Thy grace is greater than our need. Thy grace is more powerful than our need. May we enjoy the life-giving waters of Thy grace and be generous with blessings to all who thirst. AMEN.
