Today’s Devotional Is IN THE BEGINNING GOD

GENESIS MEANS “Beginning.” We find the source of many streams that still flow through the earth, some clear, others turbid. It tells us about the origin of the heavens, the earth, of humankind; sin and redemption; marriage and the institution and structure of the home; the sciences and arts that have created the fabric of civilisation; the existence and division of human families into different nationalities; and it also reveals the source of many streams. These cannot all be attributed to God’s origination. It must be acknowledged that the “enemy has done this” with the sin, pain, and sorrow of the whole world.

Hebrew uses plural words for God. The verb conjoined with it is singular and the verb is singular. This indicates that God is one, while the noun is plural. It also signifies the mystery of God’s Holy Trinity. Our Lord asked the Father to glorify Him in His earthly life with the same glory they shared before the world was.

Let us make God in Christ our starting, the beginning of the Book of Our Life. This includes our heaven with its prayer, meditation and devotion, our earth with its daily business, our home and our interests, as well as our pleasures and hobbies. This is the main cornerstone that can fit the entire building of life together. This is the harmony chord, which must be consistent with the next oratorio. This is the circle of happiness that encompasses all that is fairest and sweetest.

God is a faithful creator. He completes what He starts. He is not weary, he fainteth not. Even though you may have exhausted the most precious human love, God is not exhaustible. Start by putting God in His rightful place as Alpha, the First, if you have not yet entered the Divine life. We can cry out, “Create in my heart a clean heart O God and renew my right spirit.” He will reply, “Behold, I make all things new.” He will answer, “Behold, I make all things new.” Let him that thirsts come, and he who will, may take the water of life without restriction.

PRAYER for Today

O God, my Father most High. Beauty is all that is beautiful. Everything I have received from Thee I will trust in Thee. I shall never lose anything. Thou hast made me for Thee, and my heart will not rest until it rests in Thee. AMEN.
