Daily Scripture Reading: Genesis 32:1 KJV
Genesis 32:1 KJV
(1) And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
Today’s Devotional Is The Midnight Wrestle
As we journey through life, we may encounter angels along the way who can offer us help and guidance when we need it most. Though we may not see them or hear their wings, we can trust in their presence and support (Psalm 34:7; Hebrews 1:14).
Just as Jacob wrestled with a man until daybreak, we too may have to struggle with our own challenges and obstacles. But if we seek out the divine, we can experience a profound encounter with the Eternal that puts everything else in perspective. In the quiet of the night, when the distractions of the day have faded away, we may come face-to-face with the Word of God, who is also our Savior, Lover, and Friend.
During this encounter, we may feel our stubbornness broken down and our strength tested, but if we persist in seeking Him, we will be rewarded with a sense of peace and fulfillment that only He can provide. He will teach us that we are strongest when we are at our weakest and will reveal to us His own sublime Name, Shiloh, the Giver of Eternal Peace.
Prayer For Today
So let us not grow weary in our pursuit of God. Though we may feel weak and helpless, He is all-powerful and can work wonders in our lives. Let us turn away from the things that displease Him and embrace the things that bring Him joy, through the grace and strength of Jesus Christ. Amen.
