Psalms 27:8 Devotional On THE BIBLE AS A DICTAPHONE

Daily Scripture Reading: Psalms 27:8

Psalm 27:8 KJV
(8)  When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

Today’s Devotional Is THE BIBLE AS A DICTAPHONE

The BIBLE is a dictaphone. It is a dictaphone because God speaks into it and His living words are transferred to us as we go through its pages. Many things are in the Bible that we might not understand at first. God’s thoughts are higher than ours, and the heavens are higher than the earth. Mr. Spurgeon once said that he didn’t try to swallow bones from fish when he ate them, but he just put them on his plate. You can put aside anything that is beyond your comprehension and continue to enjoy the easy of spiritual mastication or digestion.

Ten thousand promises are contained in the Bible. It is God’s book filled with signed cheques. If you find a promise that meets your needs, don’t ask God to keep it. In the name of Jesus, present it humblely! Make sure you have met all conditions. Then, look up at your Heavenly Father and tell him that you trust Him to do what He has promised. You will see that God will respond to you in His own time and manner. But wait patiently, be quiet, and you’ll find that it is not too soon or too late. “My soul, wait upon God, for I expect nothing but from Him” (Psa_62.5). “Blessed are those who believed, for it will be performed of the things that were given to her by the Lord” (Luk_1.45).

No guide is better than Holy Scripture. But, before you read it, make sure to ask the Author and Inspirer for guidance. He will then illuminate the page and make your path to salvation. “Speak, Lord! Thy servant heareth.”

PRAYER for Today

Thy word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. I Thou servant, give me understanding so that I may understand Thy testimonies. AMEN.
