Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.5  β€œAnd when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.5  When you pray, don’t be like those show-offs who love to stand up and pray in the meeting places and on the street corners. They do this just to look good. I can assure you that they already have their reward.
6  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.6  But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.6  When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and he will reward you.
7  But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.7  β€œAnd when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.7  When you pray, don’t talk on and on as people do who don’t know God. 26  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.26  Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.26  In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is here to help us. For example, when we don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that cannot be put into words.

Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.

Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks.
9  Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?9  Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?9  Would any of you give your hungry child a stone, if the child asked for some bread?

But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give good things to people who ask.

Since God is all powerful, why does He not answer every prayer?

There are a few different reasons why God might not answer every prayer. First, it’s important to remember that we are not guaranteed that every prayer will be answered the way we want it to be. Sometimes, God’s answer is “no.” Second, our prayers should align with His will (1 John 5:14). If they don’t, then we can’t expect Him to answer them. Finally, we have to be careful not to use prayer as a means to manipulate God into doing what we want. We need to trust that He knows what’s best for us, even when we don’t understand His ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
