1 Collisions 15:24 KJV
(24) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Today’s Devotional Is THE MARCH OF GOD’S PROGRESS
WHERE IS God moving? We must remember that when we talk about the eternal progress of God, we are using human speech because God lives in an eternal present. Jehovah is Jehovah, which means “I AM!”
God is moving towards the exaltation of Christ our Savior. Christ must reign and will reign. The Father’s power is still engaged in placing all things under His feet. He gave Him the heathen as His inheritance and the uttermost part of the earth as His possession. While we may not see all things under Him yet, God is still working to accelerate His eternal plan. In the past few years, there has been a rise and fall in rulers and kingdoms; the search for new ways of government has threatened the ancient order; a vortex of election; the babel and voices; and the rivalry between statesmen and parties. These are the clouds of His feet. These are His clouds, His movement on the board and the stages of His unfolding plan. The Divine strategy is clearly visible! God raises one and brings down another. There is no item on the news, nor any change in the map or revolution among the people that are not contributing to that final scene. The Son of Man will come to the Ancient of Days and He shall be given dominion, glory, and a kingdom that will serve all people, nations, languages, and countries.
We all need to understand God’s movements in this time of great change. Only then can we rest in His Rest. Once we have mastered the Divine plan of bringing all things together in Christ, the Head, we can gaze calmly at a confused world. The world is unaware that His path is in the ocean, His tracks in the deep water, and His steps are unknown to those who love Him and follow him. The hills may be gone, but the heavens will not be lifted, nor His kindness.
PRAYER for Today
Your Kingdom is near, O Lord. It will bring about Thy fulfillment of Thy purpose. Keep us alert and watchful so that we can discern Thy movements and receive Thy guidance in the small things. AMEN.
