(16)  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Today’s Devotional Is THE WONDER OF GOD’S LOVE

CHILDREN ARE ABLE TO READ “Alice in Wonderland”, but we will still be in Wonderland at the end of our lives! Maybe there is more to the term “second childhood” than we realize. The child-spirit lives in Paradise full of wonder, mystery, and questioning.

This verse has many reasons to be amazed! The first is the fact that God loves and loved the world. It is not surprising that God created the world. It is also known that God has given it a name. He calls them all by their names, just as He brings out their hosts by numbers. Our world is so small among the many constellations. Yet, it is surrounded by the Love of God.

The Second Wonder is the fact that the Only Begotten son came to live with us. It is amazing that the Son of God would have passed through all other worlds and arrived at this place. This earth was walked by His blessed feet, and He has made it His Divine Nature. It is so amazing that we can believe that this world must be the center of the universe, its nursery, college, or training ground.

The third wonder is the fact that Eternal Life can be attained by anyone. The A.V. The A.V. It is translated as “eternal” by the R.V. God does not give us quantity, but quality of life. Our human limitations make time a way of thinking. It will eventually end. Eternal Life is a NOW that is ever present, filled with Love, Life and Light. It can be enjoyed in fellowship and communion with God. This is for all! Each person may fill in the blank and then say “that I may live an eternal life.” It is so amazing that it cannot have been imagined or suggested by man’s wit. It bears the seal and imprint of God Himself. He made us in His image and likeness so that we could become partakers of His Divine Nature.

PRAYER for Today

The world is dear to Thee, O Heavenly father; Thou sentst Thine Only Son to save and Thy Spirit renew. May He watch over this world of chaos and may peace, love and harmony reign. AMEN.
