Matthew 16:19 Devotional On THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM

Daily Scripture Reading: Matthew 16:19 KJV

Matthew 16:19 KJV
(19)  And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Today’s Devotional Is THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM

These words were given to Peter by the Apostle of Christ, but there is an inextricable sense that every disciple of Christ has the ability to unlock and unlock the doors of Faith, Hope, and Love for another person. Perhaps you are aware of someone who is struggling with a burden or who has an over-mastering fear. You can try to win the confidence of that person, offer some help, cheer him up, and open the door to the dark cell where he is incarcerated. Your help and sympathy have freed him. This is a true application of the power of keys of the Kingdom.

It could be someone who is accused of doing evil things that are not true. You pay attention to the story and try to make it right.

It could be a girl or a boy whose life seems impossible to escape from. Your friendly counsel and experience will help you unlock the prison door to free this young person.

These opportunities for Christian service are worth looking out for. The life that is shared with Christ in constant fellowship has an incredible power to free those who are bound by iron fetters. We can also point the fettered soul towards Christ.
