Revelation 21:16 Devotional On SPIRITUAL DIMENSIONS

Daily Scripture Reading: Revelation 21:16 KJV

Revelation 21:16 KJV
(16)  And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

Today’s Devotional Is SPIRITUAL DIMENSIONS

The Bible frequently uses the cube as a measurement, and this shape appears in both the Holy of Holies and the New Jerusalem, which John saw in a vision. This city came down from God out of heaven, and it was a perfect cube, with equal length, breadth, and height. This image reminds us of the immeasurable love of Christ, which is deeper, higher, longer, and wider than we can comprehend.

The love of Christ should be the standard for our lives, and we should strive to grow in four dimensions. First, we need length, which means moving forward and leaving behind the things that hold us back. We should always be reaching towards the future and the plans that God has for us.

Second, we need breadth. Our lives should extend outwards to help others, just as Christ’s life did. We must follow the example of the cross and be unselfish, living not for ourselves, but for Him who died for us and for those He loves.

Third, we need depth. Our roots must be firmly planted in Christ, so that we can draw strength and nourishment from Him. We should strive to deepen our relationship with Him and to grow in knowledge and understanding of His ways.

Finally, we need height. We must fix our eyes on heaven and set our hearts on things above. Our aspirations and goals should always be rising, and we should strive to live up to our fullest potential as children of God.

Prayer For Today

Dear God, please sanctify my body, mind, and soul, and help me to use them all for Your glory. May my thoughts and intentions be pure, and may my words and actions reflect Your love and grace. Help me to grow in all four dimensions of life, and to become the person You created me to be. Thank You for Your immeasurable love, which surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
