14 June Daily Scripture Reading and Reflection

When we read the Bible, it’s easy to get caught up in trying to understand all of the technical details. But sometimes, we need to step back and simply meditate on the beauty of God’s word. And one of the most beautiful passages in the Bible is John 3:17. In this verse, Jesus tells us that God didn’t send him into the world to condemn it. He came to save it. What an incredible thought! Just imagine – the God of all creation, so powerful and holy, didn’t come to judge us or punish us. He came to save us. Out of love, he sent his Son to die for our sins so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life. This verse is a reminder that no matter how far we may feel from God, he is always ready and willing to forgive us and welcoming us back into his arms. So if you’re feeling lost or condemned today, take comfort in knowing that Jesus came to save you. And know that no matter what you’ve done, God is always ready to forgive you and show you his incredible love.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We know that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Help us, Lord, to trust in You and to have faith in Your promises. Guide us as we follow You, and lead us to share the Good News with others. Thank You for the gift of salvation, and help us to always remember that Christ died for us so that we might live. Amen.
