John 3:18 is today’s Bible verse where Jesus speaks about our freedom from condemnation through belief in his saving work on the cross. In John 3:18, Jesus says, “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” This verse is a powerful reminder of the importance of faith. As believers, we are not condemned because we have put our faith in Jesus. But those who do not believe are already condemned, because they have failed to believe in the one who can save them from their sins. This verse should encourage us to share the gospel with those who do not yet know Christ, so that they can receive forgiveness and eternal life. It is also a reminder of the need for us to keep our own faith strong, so that we can continue to stand firm in the face of condemnation.
John 3:18 Daily Bible Verse for Jun 15
John 3:18
(ESV) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
(KJV) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(MSG) Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
(NIV) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
(NLT) βThere is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in Godβs one and only Son.
15 June Scripture Reading and Reflection for Today
It is a powerful thing when we realize that we are not alone in this world. That our Heavenly Father has provided a way for us to have eternal life with Him. One way He has done this is by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save it. Not to condemn it, but to show us the way to eternal life. This is such a beautiful act of love on God’s part. And it is an act that we can all take part in by reflecting on His Word and allowing it to change our lives. As we do this, we become more like Christ and are able to share His love with others. What a wonderful thing it is to know that we can be part of God’s plan for salvation!
Daily Prayer for June 15
Dear heavenly Father, we come to you today to give you thanks for your forgiveness. We know that we are sinners and that we fall short of your glory. But we also know that you are a forgiving God, and that you will forgive us if we ask for your forgiveness. So today we ask for your forgiveness, and we thank you for it. We also thank you for the opportunity to repent and turn from our sinful ways. We know that your forgiveness is always available to us, and we cherish it. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
The scripture for today is John 3:17. In the NIV Jesus says, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
